Depressed?

I don’t know about you but after my stints in Vietnam I ended up quite unexpectedly depressed. Without going into it at all my upbringing was one of physical abuse and uncaring as I later understood it. I now say: So what? All of this led me to finding alcohol a wonderland of shining lights and indiscretions. Not the adulteress ind but the really off the wall toward stupid kind. The good thing is? It is all in the past and I go to no meetings. I got hold of myself with a little help from the medical corps that is my wife and all is fine now.

Why am I mentioning this? First of all, I know that I am not alone. Second but more importantly I wasnt to mention prayer when you’re down. Although this society does not recognize God or Jesus as it used to in years gone by society is a cesspool without a cover. God is the cleanest and most wondrous being ever in existence and those who say the opposite are more lost than any compass could ever rectify.

Prayer pulled me up and out of a very deep hole but in a way that went unnoticed until I was standing on two legs again. I have never looked back but have proceeded up and onward since 2013. That is a fair record don’t you think? Prayer, the bible, solid will to quit. I am just now getting a handle on smoking. It’s been almost three months since my last cig. Prayer – Don’t leave home without it!
