Who and What
I figured that before I left the life I’ve had for the last seventy-eight years I would spend my time learning instead of half day cocktail hours. To be certain I did this I needed to stop smoking as alcohol and cigarettes seem to go together like pigs and slop. Neither appeal to my sensibilities now; though they did for a long time when I was a bit younger.
A professional writer I am not. A guy who went to combat more than once I am. Writers have experience in college and folks such as myself have experience in combat and college. As to influence, combat will always win. I don’t dream of college. Combat, well, I would rather not have any dreams of that.
As I figure out what to put here it will be with a nod toward being interesting and not speaking of one topic for very long. I’ve been through good and bad times, drank for several years after college and combat, and spent some short time feeling sorry for myself until I told myself to grow the hell up. Being a man in these times is not easy. Then again, being a man has never been easy. Being a man is owning responsibility for your actions and thoughts before those actions. Maturity is wanting in these times, no matter that age of the male.
There is a lot to say isn’t there? If I offend I don’t really care. I care about what I can control only. Your sensibilities are purely yours.
